1. What is Cardinal EDGE?

            Cardinal EDGE is the Learning Management System of Mapúa University.

​

​

2. Is Cardinal EDGE different from MyMapua?

​

Yes, they are different platforms. MyMapua is the online student portal of the university where you can check your enrollment and payment status and where you can view your final grades. On the other hand, Cardinal EDGE is the university’s learning management  system where all your course modules, activities, and other learning materials can be found.

3. Why can’t I log-in to my Cardinal EDGE account?

​

A. Incorrect Password and Locked account

 

Please email a snapshot of your ID or ECM at help.blackboard@mapua.edu.ph to reset your password or unlock your account.

 

B. No Cardinal EDGE account Yet

 

This usually happens to newly enrolled students. Kindly email help.blackboard@mapua.edu.ph to assist you regarding this concern.

4. Can I change my password in Cardinal Edge?

 

Yes. Log in to your Cardinal Edge account using a web browser. Click your profile tab in the left side navigation bar. Under basic information, click change password. Unfortunately, this feature does not apply to the Blackboard mobile app.

5. Can I access Cardinal EDGE using a mobile or a tablet device?

 

Yes, Cardinal EDGE is designed to be mobile responsive. There is also a Blackboard Learn mobile application available for IOS and Android devices.

​

 

6. What are the other digital learning tools used in the University?

 

Cardinal EDGE is the main platform the students and the instructors will use in the fully online modality. However, there are also video conferencing tools that are used for synchronous learning such as MS Teams, Zoom, and Blackboard Collaborate. Several digital learning tools such as WileyPLUS, Cengage, Coursera, and Panopto are also used for asynchronous learning.

7. What will I do if my course enrollment in Cardinal EDGE is lacking/incorrect/missing?

 

Kindly email a copy of your official electronic certificate of matriculation (ECM) at help.blackboard@mapua.edu.ph to correct your course enrollments.

​

 

8. Can we contact our professor and classmate using Cardinal EDGE?

 

Yes, you can communicate with your classmates and professor through the Cardinal EDGE course messages. MS Teams chat is also used for real-time communication.

​

 

9. Can I arrange which courses I want to appear first?

 

Apply favorites. Click on the star on the courses you want to appear first.

​

 

10. Where can I edit my profile information in Cardinal Edge?

 

Log in to your Cardinal Edge account using a web browser. Click your profile tab in the left side navigation bar and edit your personal information there. Unfortunately, this feature is not applicable to the Blackboard mobile app.
